Just heard a close friend had his RFS truck roll on him. He hasn't worked in his business for a month, he's been out fighting fires. No income for a month before Xmas. No, the volunteers do no “want to be there” fighting

So Australia's firefighters are crowdfunding for things like food and water, and the Morrison government is talking about increasing overseas aid. At what point do Australians take the streets en masse and demand this government does their job?

The PM's a creep refusing essential support to volunteers and fire-fighters who've sustained injuries, are exhausted and lost equipt in fires. Idiot Morrison can't walk up a hill without needing a volunteer's help. But when volunteers need help! Nothing!

To put the Coalition's response in to perspective, Christmas Island has been budgeted at $185.2 million over two years. So far, $26.8 million has been spent, with over 100 staff on the island. Only four people (including two children) are being detained there.

We went behind the scenes with the incredible team at the Port Macquarie Koala Hospital. They've been working around the clock to help these koalas left with painful burns after getting caught in the NSW bushfires.

We now know why Bush did what he did re Katrina, and a large part of that was enabling private companies to profiteer from disaster, or disaster capitalism. It explains Morrison’s weird behaviour about it all..
