If we can get treated as a difference rather than a disorder then it will be easier to get autistic people treated with compassion. A difference is something you can work with rather than against. It is something to be celebrated rather than eliminated.

This poor kid is melting! His hair is a sensory thing, last night I tried putting it in a ponytail, plaiting it, even a bun, all ripped straight out again. Hopefully 2 fans in his room helped, wonโ€™t open his window as he is terrified of bugs

Back from camping in Cornwall, had a great time. A quiet site and beach we been to before and same restaurant 3 nights. Add in own tent,their stuff and some tech downtime and we had no meltdowns all week. Views, walking, Gin and good food for us- result!
