Day two was a success. We have called for the resignation of one of the supervisors for thinking he can treat the AFSCME workers how he feels! he will feel the power of the union.

is striking because the uc doesn’t pay workers enough to live and eat. Don’t get mad at strikers for disrupting your class. Get mad at the uc for giving people no other choice. They’re fighting for basic human rights.

Wage gaps are a result of systemic racism and an array of intersectional discrimination in the workforce. But today we stand in solidarity in order to increase prevailing wages and eliminate unjust treatment amongst UC workers of color.

Hi quick reminder for folks on why to support the strike occurring. They understand food insecurity and feed students in support (along with their workers) for two days straight now. On the other hand the UC system has literally taken food away from students ☕️

Striker hit by a car at UCLA - AFSCME folks are the lowest paid folks on UC campuses- they are striking for things like a living wage, suitable health coverage, and not to be replaced by also-super-exploited contracted workers. WTF is wrong with y'all.
