Ascending aortic aneurysm w/pericardial effusion. GFR was very low. Non-contrast based showed no AoD/aorto-pericardial connection. Patient did well after pericardial effusion was drained. What other abnormalities can you see?

Why do we use the meds we use in HFrEF? The critical studies that shape the modern approach to HF mgmt. Anything I missed that you would add?

Took a risk and stepped way outside of my comfort zone for this personal piece. As uncomfortable as it was/is, it was liberating to be able speak up and hopefully be heard. Thank you for the forum.

Nothing fancy but very helpful when swan from CFV won’t turn from RV into PA. 5Fr angled Pigtail pointed toward RVOT —> 0.035” exchange wire will get you into PA —> then swap for 0.025” or 0.018” wire and track swan.

Fresh into press! Really excited and proud of our work on color Doppler. We discuss the previously unreported “splay” signal of MR. If seen, may equal more significant regurgitation. ⁦⁩ ⁦⁩ ⁦

Proud to present this month's Newsletter, which features some powerful voices. Our theme this month is racial inequities in medicine and society, as seen through the eyes of four cardiology fellows. I've learned a lot from these authors, and I hope you do too.
