A big week for "A Boy in the Water" - Sports Book Awards tonight and paperback due out on Thu. Always reminds me that anything is possible with some hot soup, a pot of grease and an 80s mix tape

My broadcasting career started in radio and this week I have been reminded just how powerful it can be. R4s Book of the week by is a fascinating and moving story about an epic swim you probably won't have heard about. Well worth a listen.

I am listening to the audiobook by it's superb! I'm wary of books which are narrated by the author but Tom's doing a great job. I'm at the point where they're camping near Windermere & swimming. Do read or listen to it if you can 🏊‍♂️🌊👌

Just finished reading ’s incredible book . I literally laughed and cried whilst being taken on a wonderful journey that (having been a child swimmer of a similar age at the time) was just perfect. Thank you PS - I remember watching you on Blue Peter!!
