A591 BLOCKED in both directions between Ambleside and Rydal due to a two vehicle collision. Traffic in the area is heavily congested. Holiday traffic not helping. P: 13:08 hrs, 18th Apr.

Here’s to the working ! are trying to clear drains to help get the surface water off the & other major roads. They’d like us all to slow down so we don’t aquaplane into them.

So on the way back from yesterday’s run over at , I was on the heading past at midday-ish and either a or similar (smaller?) flew overhead in the clag. 😳😳😳 Did anyone else see it?

People chuck some strange things over walls these days - maybe the prospect of walking to Ambleside in those heels was just too much. (I hung the hoodie up - the mother in me, I suppose)

The between Castle Inn and the Crosthwaite roundabout has been closed due to icy conditions. We were called at 9.28am today following a one vehicle collision. No injures, but the roads conditions were deemed dangerous. The road will be reopened once it has been gritted

Absolute disgrace! One unmanned set of traffic lights at between Lowwood and Waterhead Ambleside. Traffic as far back as Windermere and probably further at a standstill. Saturday morning chaos

Drove to Windermere by car. Home by bus. Big bit of metal hanging off back of car was apparently exhaust covering. 😟

Would have enjoyed the irony of being stuck in the roadworks on the (which are there to alleviate flooding problems) were it not for the fact that because of a contraflow you couldn't use the outside lane to get round the flooding and it took me OVER 2 HOURS TO GET TO WORK.

Managed against odds to get myself on one of today’s endangered trains to . Through a flooded , roadworks etc. If I can get home at the other end is a bigger question. I hope the Muriels appreciate it!

Relieved to make it home to for birthday tea! at near is covered in snow and treacherous. Be careful! Cars that look the have spun out appear stuck on side of the road. Snow still falling ❄️
