Unfortunately that carries a lot of practical problems (dual citizenship issues), and many find the offer of citizenship after unattractive.

Worried about my kids future, sad that they will lose rights that will limit what they can do, scared for my family that live in Europe, concerned for my friends & colleagues that come from all over Europe, angry that this travesty is being allowed to continue.

It’s 500 days now that I don’t know if I can stay in the same country as my children. If I can stay in the country I worked in and paid taxes to for 25 years. The country that is home. Is it still?

The has given equal citizen rights beautifully - why can’t we in the UK accept this or at the very least use this as a fantastic starting point? Too many lovely people have been left in insecurity & fear for well over & I want for the best for us all

Social aspects are a real thing, I'm sorry if empathy bothers you. My friend is French, been here teaching 20 years. Doesn't feel welcome now. Many EU citizens who are friends, neighbours & colleagues facing . Just have a look at 's stuff.

I'm nervous about taking my child's best mate from school to visit my Mum as she's from Somalia. Impoliteness & intolerance has been normalised by Brexit. This is as worrying to me as the economic effects of Brexit. So many Eurofamilies here facing tough decisions

NHS staff are global but EU citizens are important to us Brexit affects anyone who doesn't appear white +/- English-speaking Brexit has made expression of xenophobia more acceptable. will testify to the unpleasantness of Brexit
