Food allergy mums should realise there are more than affecting their children. There are too esp house dustmite & pollen. This trailer shows the effect and they are present in schools due to low grade vacuum cleaners …. 1/2

Suspect they've just copied Pret who regularly say similar. Completely agree. Wish they'd just state pine nuts are not one of the and leave it at that.

I agree about non-top-14 but, as you say, the focus on is a start. I’m hoping this is not just an initiative at my son’s school but is now part of the Y8 curriculum. Friends with Y8 children at other schools report the same input.🤞

Remind me - cafes need to know exactly WHAT nuts are in their nut containing foods, right? Or am I wrong?

I thought a general "may contain" ALL of the wasn't permitted by rules, yet now seem to be doing it for their counter (meat, fish, deli etc) sales & cafes etc knee jerk reaction after ?

That is the next big concern as points out - we can’t let retailers now move towards increasingly defensive labelling. This is NOT the solution or the response needed

Why? They manage this with food hygiene. You can't 100% guarantee zero food poisoning, but appropriate measures put in place to mitigate risks. (& no one's sticking "may contain ecoli" labels on food.) Handling should be managed in same way.

Absolutely. But is working well as a law - it has certainly improved QoL. It is the enforcement that could be much better. Unfortunately you guys in the UK could lose all protections anyway come March with Brexit

Also getting frustrated with the amount of products containing pea! And labelling a product ‘allergen free’ really makes me cross. It’s possible to be allergic to anything after all. free would be more accurate.

Don't think so. Food on planes transferred from supplier to airline - commercial transaction so not within the same business. and ingredients have to be passed across too somehow at least in EU
