So I guess totally neglects sickness and in health and wants disabled people to feel like burdens...the real burden is being stuck with Dr. Phil's sorry ass show during the day

"100 out of 100 relationship that involve caregiving fail"- Dr. Phil That statistic is absolute bullshit. I've been with my husband almost 18 years and have been chronically ill for over half of them. Doesn't seem like failure 🙄

Today is our 11 year wedding anniversary. During our years together, I've been disabled for approximately 5 of them. He believed me when drs didn't. He took care of me when I couldn't take care of myself. Our love & respect is mutual. Dr. Phil is full of shit.

6 years and counting. I’m visually impaired. My partner has ADHD. We love each other. We support each other. Our disabilities are part of who we are. We absolutely can make our relationship work with disabilities. I think it’s actually made our relationship stronger.

16 years together so far. I cared for her when she was pregnant with both of our children. She cares for me now that my disabilities are making things harder. We both care for our children. Relationships involve caregiving. You know nothing,

okay but maybe let’s not centre nondisabled partners in + am I alone in thinking the term “interabled” feels quite icky + can we acknowledge many disabled people date & care for each other? cool, thanks.

I am rather infruriated by again publicizing pure ignorance & implies the disabled are not worthy of a relationship & all we get is a caretaker not a lover, a spouse or love. Shame on you for again using your platform to spread false info.

I've been chronically ill since long before we began dating. He took me in. He saved my life. He cares for me every day 7 years on. Dr. Phil needs to help change the culture of care, not tell folks they're doomed to failure.

Hannah & Shane are an interabled couple who appeared on Dr. Phil to raise awareness about interabled relationships. Despite what Dr. Phil says about this type of relationship not work, read how thousands of people proved him wrong!

I'm really just here today to say fuck and his bullshit. The relationships that I have ended were for reasons just like any other failing relationship, not because I need help physically 🙄🙄🙄

According to , relationships involving caregiving fail. Sure, use your platform to perpetuate the idea that people are unloveable. EVERY relationship should involve caregiving. Or should we not support our partner when they get a bug?

Saturday is our 19th wedding anniversary. Maybe Mr. Ums will push me in my pink wheelchair up Mt. Trashmore so we can survey the City of Five Smells while toasting Dr. Phil with our middle fingers.

Doesn’t every relationship involve caregiving at some point? Everyone gets ill, people have children, parents get old. Does think all relationships are going to fail or is his just showing?
