Today marks 100 years of women's suffrage in Germany: on 19 January 1919 women were allowed to vote and be elected for the first time. It was a first step to equality between men and women and a truly great moment for German democracy.

So today we can celebrate in Germany (women were allowed to vote 100 years ago). It is indeed worthy of celebration. But there is still a long way to go - and men must be part of this movement.
