I started working on one more letter to hopefully carry us through the fall last night. A small gesture of hope for our collective and individual creativity.

Motivated by and its creator, , yesterday I finished the full 1st draft of a novella I've been working on since…oh…forever. Yep, it's a shitty first draft, and yep, I'm super grateful for Jami's motivational help. Thank you!

I've compared to weeding your garden. But what about finding a nest of baby in your garden. What's the /revision metaphor there? Any ideas? (Do you see it, eyes still closed?)

Wonderful insight about choosing retweets and quotes. I’m currently nursing myself along moving ahead after catching a glimpse of a powerful woman moving past the window of my life. Keep writing!

Just to let you know, I I finished my revision earlier this week. All told, I wrote around 20K words. Thanks to cutting, the MS is still 5K words *shorter* than before, which was my goal.

My words. The Earth in glory. Awe, no matter the politics. Kids can enjoy three-dimensional fireworks if they are outside. This year I’ll go indoors and watch from my Space Station room

Your kick started me and I’m currently and happily at 74,000 words (but in no hurry to show to anyone as I ask myself daily just wtf I think I’m writing 😬)
