Today at tea the teishu used the following natsume (棗). Very timely! It has not only a decoration of ume (plum) blossom, but inside the lid is a tiny uguisu (鶯 = Japanese bush warbler) painting! How delicate!

I was given two NAGAITA that is one of equipment of tea ceremony.NAGAITA is wood long board which originated from a DAISU shelf unit, and is set at the tea-making tatami. NAGAITA is one of favorite equipments of chanoyu.Thank you very much!
