FWIW: I commented here (securityvoices.org/podcast/episod…) that I think we have over indexed on the victory of “calling out” Time-AI.
Crypto has good history of calling bull (& this was crypto). Dozens of non-crypto companies were making other ridiculous claims on the floor unchallenged.

It’s so frustrating that the average person doesn’t understand how massively complicated software is. Just because someone knows “how to code” doesn’t mean they can create a reliable app. Just because a company makes apps doesn’t mean they can create one safe for high stakes.

I think @moxie pointed this out for why signal needed to make safe, default options.
We spend a ton of time sweating this too, so a generic, 2 minute canary-install is still useful.
Vendors have known this for a while (but blamed users). It’s a product failure instead.

1) Both are great & super worth it;
