The point is that moral pioneers, who not only achieved “progress” within themselves but inspired it in others, didn’t require tech to do so.
Therefore: Neither do we.
Tech seems to be a force multiplier for the morals we have. Internet creates both wisdom and addiction.

I’m referring to moral progress as an inner (psychological/spiritual) phenomenon that the all-time greats achieved without reliance on technology. Buddha may be a better example than Gandhi in this case, since one couldn’t argue Gandhi didn’t benefit from printing press etc

2) Maybe, but there’s no excuse for the homelessness crisis
3) “Tax the rich” plans tend to involve higher annual income taxes, ie cash. Nobody is advocating seizing assets.
