The RB Merganser once again came close to the shore of Poole Park Lake only this time the light was better and it even came within 2-3 metres of me.

Jerry’s Point very cold and windy this morning. Not a lot about apart from the odd Merganser here or there. The Grebes and Long Tailed Ducks must’ve took shelter somewhere.

Came across this interesting publication from last year, giving info on the history of Morden Bog, Wareham Forest including info on a Sea Eagle that was caught and killed there around 1724.

The Merganser pair at Poole Park Lake came close to shore yesterday, shame it wasn't sunny.
