Where is the condemnation of the decade of cuts that has contributed to people not getting the care they need?

#r4today @BBCr4today why on earth do you keep playing that recording? Of a young man who has been horrifically failed by the care system in this country. Its also quite disturbing that you're hammering home the fact he is autistic.

"rich people create the jobs, it's the benefit scroungers that cause the problems"
Jesus christ! Brainwashed.

Working class people in Kirby tell #r4today that the rich "create all the jobs and the wealth".
It's so depressing how they have been conditioned to believe wholeheartedly in the trickle down lie.
That was the groundwork that Brexit was built upon.

They genuinely think Boris will do anything to help you? This country is absolutely screwed. You're not going to get your high street back. It's gone. This is pathetic and terrifying.

@BBCr4today good god. Is that the only view you could get in "The North", people so brainwashed that they think their problems are because of "benefit scroungers" (most of who are in work) and the EU, and not the rich taking more and the huge increase in inequality?

I love how everyone is using different examples to point out great Britain is. Its like praising an abusive husband because he buys flowers once a year.
If you think we haven't carried out horrific acts of, genocide, ethnic cleansing and unjust war, then you don't know history

On the recommendation of @fiona_almond I have started the audiobook of @PhilZimbardo's book, The Lucifer Effect. I knew about the Stanford Prison Experiment, but the follow up work and the analysis of human behaviour is as fascinating, as it is horrifying. No chance of dozing!

@JimMFelton I had to drive for the best part of 8 hours yesterday, with a funeral half way.
Having just done a few weeks on history and war studies, and doing an MA in IR, this book was great to listen to. As a reminder of what I already knew,
