Is there a good reason why Overcast file uploads have to be one excruciating file at a time? Why no multi-selection? or folder selection? or zip file selection. The current scheme is essentially useless for anything but a multi-hour single-file audiobook.

Even if there are constraints on what iOS Safari upload will allow, why does the desktop have to inherit those constraints?

And do "Uploads" file sync to the Watch? If not why not? If so, how do I force this to happen, because a whole lot of dicking around is not showing me anything.

Basically there is a common thread here. I don't give a fcsk about podcasts, but I want to listen to - MY material (primarily lecture series) - ON my watch. I don't understand why the entire Apple eco-system, including 3rd parties, make this so hard.

Overcast seems to accept that people want to upload files, but everything about the experience is done with maximal pain and unhelpfulness. Slow uploads. No folders/categorization of uploads. No watch support.

If I have to, I can make a (hopefully private) podcast, but that's a whole different set of pain and irritation. The whole point of buying Overcast Premium was to avoid that! And why?

I understand (well, I don't, but I accept) that Apple Content Services is populated by pricks who want to make using Apple Music, Books, and TV as awful and uncustomizable as possible.

What I don't understand is why someone who wrote Instapaper refuses to see what a great and glorious thing it would be to make Overcast behave basically like Instapaper for audio content, for people who want that...
