7yr old: Mum, what happens if you eat lots of tinsel? Me: probably emergency surgery to prevent obstruction somewhere in your digestive system. 7yr old: *blank face* *small voice* you get tinselitis.

Having a ‘known’ midwife who can provide will entail nuances of change to be picked up quicker and referred. Midwives split between women in labour means things are missed. Monitoring with IA or EFM is part of a whole and should never be isolated

Sorry I missed yesterday debating this. The key factor we need to remember is that any aspect of monitoring wellbeing for either mum and baby should be in the whole context of what is occurring for that dyad: environment, position, stage, antenatal concerns, overall health etc 1/2

"I was not only writing students’ coursework but almost certainly also rewriting it based on supervisor comments" This is deeply depressing for anyone who cares about teaching and learning.

Well said Hannah, privileged to be part of a growing optimal cord clamping global team including David and yourself. Common sense has to prevail especially when backed by evidence. Thank you David for your relentless enthusiasm + all you do and your support too.

Another TMS peep here... I used to use my fetoscope in clinic a lot! Women like to actually hear their babies.
