To add to this, I have reached out to this email to (gently???) yell at them about it because I am one thousand percent sure they don't have an Algonquin woman with my exact name working there. I'm like Tigger - I'm the only one.

If you get a link building email from "me," I promise I don't want to buy links on your site πŸ˜‚ (Apparently this is a thing now?)

Seriously, if your perspective on life is "if I had to suffer for this, everyone else should too", you might want to rethink things. Because at the end of the day, you're pushing for other humans to suffer so you can feel better about your own life. And that's pretty awful.

I graduated with no debt because of a heaping pile o' privilege, not because I worked two jobs while in school (which I did!) It helped tremendously that tuition never hit five figures a year in Canadian dollars though πŸ˜‚ Even so, couldn't have done it on my jobs alone.

It's almost as if the source of the problem is structural!!!!! My god. People. "Why aren't we focusing more on the source of the problem" INDEED.

In the best case they can tell you the price upfront and the answer to the commission question is "no." If they dodge the question, it's a bad sign!

Ugh, the worst! Look for a CFP who uses the words "fee only" on their website, and send them questions by email before you meet, including "How do you get paid?" and "Do you earn commission on products you recommend?"

Can't get over that of the two "detailed" retirement calculators I've done, one told me I was drastically underprepared and one told me to switch to a TFSA immediately because I would retire too rich. Pay πŸ‘ for πŸ‘ human πŸ‘ advice πŸ‘ if πŸ‘ you πŸ‘ are πŸ‘ nervous
