A video clip I took during - gives an idea of conditions on a windy day. This was force 7-8 (~15 m/s). It got windier & the blowing snow layer deeper over next hour. Eventually we got called back in cos visibility was too poor to spot polar bears. Sort of fun :)

If I have to choose one photo that captures the essence of my leg 1 experience I select this one. The view on during one helicopter surveys captures the darkness & solitude of the drift camp. These few lights were our world for two month.
