Lake Nakuru is one of Kenya’s renowned soda lakes. There is an abundance of algae which thrive in the warm waters, attracting flamingoes. Recently there’s been wide variation between wet and dry seasons water levels. Urbanization, pollution and intensive farming may be to blame

Lake Nakuru ecosystem is beautiful but it's being negatively affected by human activity (urbanization & agriculture) as well as climate change

you’ve nailed it. This is the beauty of Kenya & true that flower farms have polluted the lake thus affecting the ecosystem. Recently, the birds migrate to Simbi Nyaima also in Kenya. Unfortunately, rumor has it that some Chinese tourists are eating the birds.
