He is Naude Dreyer and he really is a hero. He searches the waters of Pelican Point in Namibia to save seals entangled in rubbish. He has saved over 600. Here’s another video.

These storms are likely the result of the winds blowing across the lake and swampy plains, the heat and moisture collected creates electrical charges, and, as the air masses are destabilised by the mountain ridges, result in thunderstorm activity

Lampreys are an ancient lineage of jawless fish. Fossils show that they hasn't evolved much for over 100 million years. Many lamprey species are parasitic and for food they latch on to a host and suck its blood. The parasitic sea lamprey can reach over a meter long.
