Got chance today to join the to talk about the information politics of authoritarian regimes & outbreaks . Rapid sharing of info is critical in epi response, but closed systems struggle w/getting + sharing information with/from public & local officials->

The mortality rate from road traffic accidents in the Americas was 15.6/100,000 in 2016. Almost half of these deaths were among the most vulnerable road users of cyclists, motorcyclists, and pedestrians.
