Tried to use scan and pay via mobile app. Employees not trained didn’t know anything about it. Supposed to expedite purchasing, wound up in 20+ minute delay while I educated the staff.

To me there’s a question: can this problem be solved? Then a secondary question: what resources are required to bring the problem under control? And that’s where your response may come in… What they consider to be an acceptable level of spam. But that has implications for CX.
