Why is the split keyboard not available on iPad Pros? Am I missing something?

The ridiculous part is that it’s obviously more useful on a bigger device!

Right! It’s really hard to thumb-type even on the 11-inch and impossible on the bigger one.

Great. Now I can stop trying everything I can think of to invoke it. Also, that disclaimer was NOT there at launch - I checked!😭

I spent the last two weeks or so vaguely thinking, “Oh I’ll figure out how to get the split keyboard one of these days.”

I think it’s cause they both have the advanced, physical-style keyboard.

I guess that’s the technical explanation but I still wonder why — it made thumb-typing so much easier.

It was on the 10.5. Maybe people were downgrading their 12”s to 10.5s so they could use it while walking around. It is sorely missed.

I really miss it! It’s available only on 9.7-inch iPads (including the iPad Pro) and the iPad mini. ☹️

It’s the size. Apparently anything over 10.5” doesn’t get it.

That’s why I didn’t upgrade
