I wish you could delete apps right from the App Store Updates tab. When I see an update is pending for an app I never use, I just want to delete it right there.

Whoops, I went to update an app and deleted it. Hope that comes with an undue button.

The worst part is, what I actually do is Update All, wasting time and data updating an app I’d rather delete, because it’s easier.

See also: Spotlight. I rely on folders heavily to keep my phone to two home screens, but that means I lose apps and it's a nightmare to find them to uninstall them (or just move to a new location).

Totally and 100% agree. Though, I’m also the guy that won’t turn on "Offload Unused Apps" just in case I ever need it. Maybe that’s Apple’s approach so that people don’t use data by just deleting from the App Store straight.

I don’t care so much about the space they take up so much as the homescreen clutter.

Doesn’t the “Offload Unused Apps” help get rid of apps you don’t use?

It obviously wouldn’t be a one-tap button. Look at Settings: General: iPhone Storage for a good example.
