While other politicians are trying to force universal healthcare onto us, Pete is giving us the greatest gift of all: trust

Deeply concerned about so many candidates saying they won't "cross a picket line" for next week's debate. How are they going to show and if they aren't willing to forsake any & all values for the sake of civil discourse?? 😤

Imagine if: —gender identity —sexual orientation —reproductive health —expressions of love & sex Were NOT suppressed by: —Having to be married —Job/rent threats —Being 20 & having to ask parental permission (?) for insurance to cover hormones THAT’s queer liberation!

Substantive critiques of Buttigieg are less about his normcore outfit, spouse who took his name(?) & “clean” “good boy” image—tho these are worth analyzing in terms of how he’s read in society—& more about his policies. & Warren & Sanders’ policies are FAR more queer friendly.

I was the editor who handled this manuscript and I would like to highlight that this is a triumph of research transparency. I truly appreciate how professionally and quickly has handled this situation. It is how science should be done.

I’m a doctor and there have been times when I have been unable to navigate the complexities of American health care. My kids were on oxygen for a year, but they exhausted their oxygen benefits after 6 months. How does one “figure” that out?

There is no commitment to democracy any longer, hasn't been for some time by the . The media still likes to pretend this isn't the case, papers like still run stories perpetuating the myth. And this is how we slide slowly into illiberalism, oligarchy.

This is a 37-y.o who's riding a wave based on pedigree & sexuality, not experience. His politics say many, not all of the right things, but it's the company he keeps, which should disturb us all. It tells us who he'll surround himself with to govern.

I took a chair outside and watched the sun. In the sixth month of a disastrous reign in the house of money in the street of money in the city of money in the country of money, our great country of money, we (forgive us) lived happily during the war.

We Lived Happily During the War BY ILYA KAMINSKY And when they bombed other people’s houses, we protested but not enough, we opposed them but not enough. I was in my bed, around my bed America was falling: invisible house by invisible house by invisible house. 1/

Perfection, of a kind, was what he was after, And the poetry he invented was easy to understand; He knew human folly like the back of his hand, And was greatly interested in armies and fleets; 1/

In 2010, McKinsey advised the U.S. Postal Service to cut back operation days, increase delivery times and replace unionized labor with non-unionized labor. Pete Buttigieg has denied involvement in those recommendations. # via

Important thread. The real beneficiaries of philanthrocapitalists are consultants that consistently privilege the private over the public sector.
