This was Metsian even by Mets standards. I remember the one appearance by Jesse Hudson. Having seen him as an up-and-comer in the 69 yearbook, I was excited to see him and remember him throwing one incredibly nasty slider. Mets apparently weren't as impressed as I was.

They must have meant "graciousness." That fits better. "Gracelessness" actually describes the organization's efforts here!
