Me too, via the rain checks scattered on the ground -- I also saved the explanatory letter they sent, admitting they were afraid to hand them out on the way in in case Mets lost.

Happy 86th birthday, George Altman, Opening Day right fielder and cleanup hitter for the 1963 . Altman was 4-for-5 in his Cardinals debut. He hit .274 for them before he was traded to the Mets for pitcher Roger Craig.
