This weekend I built a keyboard! It's a Tofu65 case and KBD67v2 PCB. It's not a hotswap, so soldering the switches and such is required. Keycaps are GMK Metropolis. Here's the finished product:

The switches are C3 Tangerines, light green stem. It's a 62g smooth, linear switch. I opted to not lube them because I don't have a switch opener yet and because they say they are smooth. Also they are orange af.

Here's the spread. I used PTFE lube on the stabilizers along with dielectric grease for the wires. I used bandaids to soften the bottom out after clipping off the little feet in each stab. They are Cherry clip-ons.

Be sure and test-fit the bottom row! I had some minor misalignment that I caught before soldering. But missed some stuff on the return key.

Upon adding key caps I realized that the foot of a stabilizer had wiggled loose. I had to desolder 1/3rd of the switches so I could pull the plate up enough to reposition. I was cursing heavily here.

Some quick work with the iron and a pump got us room. Phew. Now on to a bit of foam in the base of the case to aid with acoustics.
