- The reason why makers should understand the strength and weakness of a franchise. The film doesn't give us the humour we expect nor an emotional flashback. What we get is nothing short of a fiasco. An extremely disappointing addition to a predominantly loved series.

- one of those films which were surprisingly disappointing. Stellar cast & amazing production value couldn't save this badly written, lengthy flick. Eye-pleasing sets & 's performance were the only saving grace. Desperately needs a trip to the editing table.

- Hollywood knows how to exploit a successful franchise and this film does do a decent job in keeping us engrossed with some perfectly placed scares. Not as good as the main films but far better than the last film - .

- A heart-warming romance which proves a film doesn't have to be shocking to be impactful. A brilliant performance by and ear-pleasing music by steal the 'show'. Will make you revisit that Ilaiyaraja playlist on your phone.

- A lovely thriller that taps into the actor in . Some performances by the foreign actors, lip sync and camera works might not be up to the mark, but the climax and 's performance makes up to it. A commendable job by the first timers.

is a film that forgets what made the franchise successful and relies predominantly in trying to project Lawrence as a massy star. Easily the most disappointing film in the franchise!

Humour might be subjective, but it is definitely not okay to trivialise movements like At the , the mic had some issues, and the emcee, Kasthuri Shankar, says, "Idhu mic, thodaama dhaan pesanum"
