Well, interesting, but I prefer 's way (prefixing the title with "[WIP]" — customizable by the instance admin)… much simpler than playing with a button dropdown, in my opinion

I like how now also shows you a map of your active days. Now I just need to find the time to make my github look like that as well 😏

is coming along in leaps and bounds. It's awesome seeing our installation getting a steady stream of new features. I wish I had the time to help out with coding it.

Thanks and for sponsoring our new build servers. We are so excited and thankful to have faster builds, and also be able to have cross-platform builds. With this news and our recent major release look forward for all the things coming this year!

Still not, but you can fire an issue and I think someone will like to implement it. :)

You could migrate from old version to v1.7.0. That breaking changes will not stop that. Wish we will adrress v2.0.0 some day. :)

Spent the day converting from gitlab to running on in a jail; the UI will take some getting used to but amazing how much faster and lighter it is

I pay about 3$/month for a virtual server where i have my website and a few others, plus cloud storage, mail server, xmpp chat and my own server, so far so good.

Not exactly free, but check out . They offer some budget virtual servers starting from €2,69 w/ more than enough resources for hosting gitea. It's KVM based, so you can even use docker. (Not affiliated, just a happy customer myself)

GitHub is clearly the most advanced source control and a joy to use – BUT is important and the reason I'll happily continue to use my own instance for private repos!
