every time someone says their kid is growing up speaking two languages I always ask
"heptapod b?"
and the joke has never, ever landed
you'd think I'd be able to see this coming, but no

Standard can be used to license Managed Instances too - but only to the General Purpose tier.

Thought that’s what you meant...
SQL is offered in Standard or Enterprise edition - both of which offer the Azure Hybrid Benefit if you have Software Assurance.

What versions of Windows Server (if any) is Edge now supported on? Legacy Edge was obviously “nothing”.
If it mirrors client, the answer should be 2008/2008 R2 (with ESUs), and anything newer.
But I can’t find docs that say that.

Conspiracy theories are what happen when people clearly see the problems in our institutions but look for easy simplified explanations. More often than not the answers are boring and structural, which is actually scarier, because it means there are no easy solutions

People often still think of SA as just for new version rights. It has that, but that’s a bad (only) reason to keep or drop SA. Things like the AHB, License Mobility (where applicable), PBI Report Server, unreadable secondary rights... and unlimited virt for Enterprise, of course.

So no conventional media. Only organic, free-range media. Got it.
