Any criticism of Dara as a CEO should really be criticism of him as an ex-investment banker. He inherited a bunch of bad, overvalued businesses started by Travis.
Given the hand Dara was dealt, I think he's actually done quite well. But... he should have known better.

Was it a bad call to join? Assume even with stock down he's making $$$. Much more well-known than before. Many will blame issues on Travis, + Softbank overvaluing, so as long as Uber stays solvent he looks pretty good.

I could not possibly disagree more.
Travis built one of the fastest growing businesses in human history. The Board panicked after some bad headlines and put in someone trained with maintaining, but not starting or hyperscaling a business.

Agreed.
Travis not only built Uber but gave a model for Lyft, Grab, Go-jek, Ola to exist & succeed - singlehandedly.

On the overvalued part, we've done a fair amount of work on Uber and we think there's a good chance they'll do $10b plus of EBITDA in 2025, making it a steal at 5.5 - 7x EV to forward 2025 EBTIDA. Plus the global platform, emerging businesses (Eats, Freight), & ATG optionality.
