If a coin can be attacked, it will be attacked. Putting real world stress on weak networks is valuable feedback. $10

Oh shit. I realize that when I say 8:00 UTC that is taken as 24 hour time. I meant 8:00 PM so 20:00 UTC

We must stop dreaming, An attack? No is just a scam ! I manage the official Pool , we were at + 80% for several months, then a 51% attack started almost 3 months ago by a solo miner, nobody realized it, I I warned the dev team but no problem ...

I think your behavior is absolutely irresponsible. The danger of 51% on smaller networks is well-known. What you are doing very much affects the image of our industry. Don't act benevolent, while you turn 51% attacks into a "spectator sport".

Also, I disagree. If anyone can do these attacks the world should know that and see how easy it is to do such an attack. I hope this will pressure developers to more seriously consider the risk of 51% attacks.

Interesting but isn't this illegal? I'm actually more interested in the legality of these attacks or even double spending. Is there a law that clearly covers these matters in any legislation?

I'm not defrauding any exchange, that certainly would be illegal. Given that I'm not doing that, I'm just forking a blockchain, but the law is fairly nebulous and complex so I'm not sure. I'm just doing an education PoC to raise awareness. I'm not a lawyer so no clue. ??
