First time I'm hearing this rumor. All the sources seemed kinda fishy anyway

Agreed, but saw sites like IGN Spain and GI reporting on it, so figured I'd reach out for confirmation to officially shut it down.

That's unfortunate. I would have bought it on Xbox One; looks like a cute game.

Racism?? Its business, these types of games never sold well on xbox console. Porting them to it and making physical copys is waste of money

That's just from the people who have seen this tweet. XboxOne subreddit has many more.

The good ones all sold well on Xbox. All of them, and they're all without Japan being involved. With how easy it is to port, it's racism.

No they don't. When a game as big as FF15 sells 8:1 on ps4&X1 it shows why dissidia FF is releasing only on ps4. So don't blame small devs

Xbox gamers just don't support japanese games just like srat Ocean is not coming to x1(360 Exclusiv originally)very game sells better on ps4

Star Ocean 5 was awful anyway so no loss, 4 sold well considering zero JP presence, zero marketing, and no history on Xbox.

"sold well considering" its not about the history of jrpgs on xbox. Its about wether or not it made enough money back. And it didn't cont.

The fact that tales and star ocean games NEVER released on xbox after that show that it didn't sell well as you claim

My point is:they tried & failed.theyre NOT willing to loss moreπŸ’°.Bamco is giving x1 a chance with SAO&code vain games. It's the last attempt

They barely tried and they didnt fail, they just stopped. Final Fantasy is at least getting the main series from square. Namco, did not not.

If they really wanted to try, they'd backport all their old games.
