The difference between Prince Harry asking for help with his mental health and us commoners asking for help is he gets it. If we ask for help we're lucky to get a prescription for anti-depressants and a phone number to refer ourselves for CBT.

In Judo and Aikido, breakfalls are called ukemi. You've seen them, the loud slapping sound as people slap the floor when they hit it.

Who knows. What I do know is learning ukemi, slowly and sometimes painfully, was worth it. It's been 10+ years since I hurt myself on any fall. On mats, concrete, out of tree and so on.

Today in court I defended a homeless man being prosecuted for stealing from bins so congratulations must be in order to Leeds police for solving literally all other crime in the city as that's the only circumstances in which I can imagine this being a proper use of resources.

Shit that's a great bit of literary history there. Birth of sci fi noted by the author herself.

I've done this. Cis really when it comes down to it but It's a hard search, with the weight of toxic masculinity. That toxicity which has become part of me and the impact of environments. Different/local childhood I think I'd give myself more grace to think fluid.

Piers Morgan's latest ploy for attention has reminded me of the Siol Fagu. "The grandfathers used to be seen carrying the babies in shawls on the seafront in Swansea on Sunday mornings, giving the young couples a chance to sleep in."

""Pocahontas" was a nickname, meaning "the naughty one" or "spoiled child". Her real name was Matoaka. The legend is that she saved a heroic John Smith from being clubbed to death by her father in 1607 - she would have been about 10 or 11 at the time.

The "political sensitivities" surrounding laws broken in the 2016 referendum give more reason not less for the Met to act urgently. The impact of these crimes could be felt for generations. As Collins says, "What is our law worth if the police won’t act?"
