This is frustrating It doesn't matter if students participated in the study, that is not proof of informed consent regarding how their data would be used Saying "facial recognition is omnipresent" is a strawman 3/n

Publishing these studies *normalizes the use of such technology for malicious purposes* Wiley's acts grants legitimacy to the work *and* its uses To publish and then hedge by claiming they don't support how the methods can be misused is cowardice 4/4
