I am making the presentation on to the other 47 voters in two weeks. Advancing to the final 10 last year hopefully provides Kevin with momentum going into this year's meeting. There's no doubt he's a HOF player.

Roger had been retired two years by the time I got to Dallas. Have spoken to him many times over the years. Nothing but good things to say about him.

Most fun ever had in the business was covering the Cowboys and the NFL for the Dallas Morning News in the '80s. Made lifelong friends at the paper and keep in touch with many of the players. But glad to be back home writing for the best sports section in the country.

Only worked couple years with Dick. Great guy but I always believed he got too involved in that story.

The interview I did with Tom Brady for my book "Brady vs. Manning" is my all-time favorite. We drove from Gillette Stadium to Boston and although I had known him a little bit before then, I gained new perspective on him as a player and person. Really like him.

I didn't notice because I think your lips were frozen and you couldn't open your mouth. Didn't stop you from writing a great column.

Correct. If he was leaving NE, the job he always wanted was open.

Plax was amazing that day -- 11 catches, 151 yards. Under the circumstances, it was one of top 2-3 performances ever by a wide receiver in playoff history.,

Brett had always played so well in sub-human temperatures but that day it looked like he wanted to be anywhere else but Lambeau Field.

I did a pre-game show on WCBS from the field at 10 a.m. with . During commercials we ran up the tunnel to stand under a heater outside Packers locker room. Everything before and after those 30 minutes have been easy.

Today (Jan. 20) is the 10-year anniversary of the Giants incredible OT victory over the Packers in the NFC Championship Game at Lambeau Field. It's hard to even imagine how cold it was that day: -1 with a wind chill of -23. Eli Manning was really slinging it. All-time great game.
