You're correct However as far as I know there's not really a clear model for this yet

The AMA is not a charitable organization. The AMA is not an educational organization. The AMA is a tax-exempt hedge fund and licensing corporation, designed to enrich its executives and serve its own bureaucratic interests. Burn. It. The. Fuck. Down.

Actually I think that this is pretty cut and dry. BCH died when they brought in the checkpoints.

I think so and I think that happens when somebody figures out how to do more or less the same thing with far less code and complexity.

I'm from one of those more common countries (Buffalo, NY, USA) and I can mirror the sentiment of this article. My family and I were quite lucky to get stuck here. Personally we did not have to deal with plague. Professionally, I've now joined to work on blockchain hw.

This becomes a particular concern for those of us whose bank is our computer. if you do a detailed study, I think you are likely to find that your hardware is compromised at a very low level. Just one tiny example, remote software updates on mobile basebands.

And that's possible when there is just one globally dominant chipmaker. China (mainland) is investing heavily and successfully in new fabs. You think that they won't have the same type of "bugs"? lol They will.

I think a Biden administration is fairly likely to simply accept Taiwan as the latest Chinese province. So we need more and cheaper fabs. This is also necessary for security reasons. I am of the opinion that IME bugs and such may be more than bugs.

I would like to see chips flowing from more than one company. If we look at a recent event it's obvious that Intel is kind of dead. crazy but true. AMD doesn't make CPUs anymore, they just design them. We need new fabs. Preferably a fully open source fab.

Course Bob is just looking for free money. They should give it to 20-30 upstarts instead but Bob will probably get his free money. Yay. Who needs 10nm anyhow? 14 is great.
