We generally want to be very confident the hint is useful, i.e. you should never see the hint in an irrelevant situation Recently I've also been thinking about showing hints with spaced repetition based on if the user has learned a feature

We also have hints to surface and teach features before you ever use them

For example, we're quite aggressive about showing a hint whenever you use the mouse to do something that can be done with the keyboard

Great thread! At Superhuman, every spec has an education/discoverability section, in which we think about how the user is going to find out about and learn the feature That's often the much trickier/more interesting challenge!

Not a great indicator, but the number of links between my notes in Roam compounds More abstractly, I think it will be hard to distinguish compound growth from linear growth since most notes app don't become any more useful over time

I love this! Frequently when I don't get into flow for some time and feel like I'm battling with a task something clicks and I realize I've made a ton of progress That does mostly happen for the least outsourceable tasks

You should try if you haven't They don't have an API yet either, but if you like WorkFlowy you'll love Roam

Totally, this just feels like they went out of their way The standard would be to add an iOS time picker like Instagram; they could even default it to 60 min

Yep, this is within the app You can override with Screen Time, but I find this product decision pretty brazen

Can confirm, coming back to Germany I'm always shocked how many places only accept cash I'm curious why it's so much higher than e.g. the Netherlands or Denmark
