You should invite some of the signers of the to your show and allow them to speak for themselves. There are plenty of southern baptists that want Moore to step down.

Dr Moore paints southerners as people who worshipped Jim Crow. This is such an unfair accusation to make. He’s using race because it’s all he’s got left.

You can’t hide from the fact that white SBC churches in the south overwhelming supported Jim Crow. Let alone look at the history of our SBC. We have to seek forgiveness for that, not hide from it or act like we played no part.

"We" have to seek forgiveness? Those who need forgiveness are dead or very old. Placing their sin on others by "inheritance" is itself sin. You need to repent. You misunderstand sin, which means you may minunderstand the gospel.

Its not the past. The SBC was formed out of support of slave owners. This heritage has continued through our history, our theology, our access to leadership, our political alignments, even our missionaries at times. Unless you & I are *acting* to reverse that we are in sin

“Do not remember the iniquities of our forefathers against us; Let Your compassion come quickly to meet us, For we are brought very low. Help us, O God of our salvation, for the glory of Your name; And deliver us and forgive our sins for Your name's sake.” Psalms 79:8-9

This is one area where we read our individualistic American value into scripture rather than allowing it to read us. The forgiveness of Jesus is strong enough to not only forgive but to break the power of sin and to reconcile us all to one another in Christ. Thats the Gospel.

In the Providence of God vicarious suffering is often the noble lot of the noblest members of our race. No burden of human sorrow was ever so great as that borne by Him who knew no human sin. John 9:3

Dr Moore’s attempt to place blame on the a living person for the sins of their deceased ancestors isn’t even based in scripture. Jesus answered, "It was neither that this man sinned, nor his parents; but it was so that the works of God might be displayed in him. — John 9:3

Dr Moore this is slander against John MacArthur and others. You paint the signers of the statement as Jim Crow supporting white supremecists. Thank you Lauren for pushing back against this nonsense. When you brought up he ran for cover and hid.

The reason there was very little resonance in the statement is the same reason few evangelicals opposed trump. Evangelical is a meaningless term and there are very few contending for the actual faith. I was encouraged when you opposed trump but this is extremely discouraging.
