THIS IS AWESOME! Two-year-old Logan Moore needs a walker to get around but his family didn't know if insurance would cover for one, so his local Home Depot found parts to make it themselves. 🥺❤️ MORE:

Woah, totally radical! Love not knowing if private health insurance will cover a child’s basic needs. 🤙

Wow, this really took off - I don’t have a sound cloud but if 10 more people follow me I’ll get to 700.

Tomorrow I will be apologizing for making up a story about trafficking drugs across the border while also launching a gofundme to go into hiding so I can write my screenplay in piece.

I have a two year old son who looks just like Logan, and the amount of rage boiling inside me thinking that he has to beg strangers just for the ability to explore the world around him...

This shit isn’t cute. I don’t get why they push them as feel good stories. Like families shouldn’t have to worry about this.

Some corporation decided my child's mobility wasn't cost effective. Luckily some strangers at the hardware store took pity on us. How heartwarming!

The awesome thing here is that every response is appalled by what an embarrassing dystopia we’ve created for ourselves

You mean like waiting 12 months for my child who has a bee allergy to even get to see his allergist? You mean like that kind of healthcare?

Similar wait times here even when you're flashing the Benjamin's. Difference is cost and few, if any, Canadians go bankrupt due to medical bills.

And *everyone* is covered. I live in Spain. Universal coverage, avg lifespan 6-8 years more than the US. Yeah, sometimes there’s wait times, but what’s worse: having to wait a bit for care, or never getting the care at all?

Plus any health issue is covered, no matter what it cost. Need transplant and you are unemployed? You get It. Your kid has a rare illness? Maybe we don't have the cure but your kid will live longer without paying a single euro

In the richest country in the world, disabled children have to rely on charity because for-profit insurance won’t pay for a walker? This is not “AWESOME.”

Isn't it sad? My mom's sister (my Auntie) was in a wheelchair since birth. We had to rely on charity as well for so many years to get her new wheelchairs. It's what prompted me to start working at Everest&Jennings who made wheelchairs. Sadly may they all RIP now.
