Looking its best in the autumn sunshine, ⁦⁩ in Settle. Lots to see and an amazing tearoom. Come by train, just a short walk from the station.

Left luggage office at station - there isn’t one, only the very biggest stations can justify the scanning equipment. So, take your bags to Bar Solo 50m across the road - they’ll charge you just £3 to look after them 😊

What a lovely new path down to the road from the Carlisle platform of Kirkby Stephen station. Thanks to all those involved, and to Douglas Hodgins for the photo.

4 nicely refurbished carriages on the 1049 from Leeds this morning, important when we have booked groups, well done 😀. Then you promptly spoil it by cancelling 2 trains, mechanical failure ☹️
