15 years ago today I stepped on a tube train at Kings Cross. 6ft away a suicide bomber detonated his bomb, killing 26 in the carriage. I was lucky. 52 died over 4 sites, many more injured. Never gets easier. My love to all the bereaved families.

Over my career I have treated tens of thousands of patients, maybe more. Old-timers like me have seen everything, or at least I thought I had. The current backlog in cancer diagnosis is horrifying. Please, if you have any symptoms - get checked. I will keep saying it!

A11 1/2- I wanted to share my story because over the years without a diagnosis I researched and looked at female patient advocates, but very few are male. My journey to share my story is to help other men, especially gay men, to open up and share there’s as well.

I’d nominate who give support to those affected by Crohn’s Disease and Ulcerative Colitis. Two conditions that need a lot more awareness and support. 💜🙌

I've had some heartbreaking messages from people who are too scared to get symptoms checked. If you listen to just one of my tweets let it be this one. If you have any symptoms- losing weight unexpectedly, blood in urine/poo, abdominal pains, unusual lumps. Please get checked.
