Team (have you made calls to Iowa this week?) Joe Jan 21
Take a seat, grab yourself a drink, and listen to our campaign’s Rapid Response Director explain what really happened in Ukraine.

That "what we used to do" quote is one among many examples of his unfitness for office. But my impression is that it would be an uphill legal battle to prove Trump's retweet violated any whistleblower protection laws. See:

Someone can correct me if I'm wrong, but my understanding is the law protects them from being fired or demoted, but not necessarily from being outed.

To be fair, it was a pretty idiotic tweet.

It's obviously meant to be humorous, and I'm a little embarrassed at all the replies that don't seem to get it. I say this as someone who can't stand Trump.

How about when your dad hands you a New York based real estate empire worth hundreds of millions of dollars in the 1970s, just before NY real estate values skyrocketed?

To be clear, this is: 1) insane and 2) irrelevant The wb's motivation in coming forward does not matter. The only thing that matters is whether the president and/or his administration broke the law, and the evidence has been pretty fucking clear.

Mike Braun thinks Democrats made a mistake by starting an impeachment INQUIRY before knowing more about the complaint?

If there *is* an impeachment inquiry, and Dems do hold hearings, can we please, please, PLEASE have only congressional staff attorneys ask questions of witnesses?

This is not to say Doctor Strange had it quite right. While the set of odd numbers forms a strict subset of the set of natural numbers, both sets have the same size since they can be put into a one-to-one correspondence.

The point is that their are different tiers of infinity. For example, the (infinite) set of real numbers is larger than the (infinite) set of natural numbers, at least by a reasonable definition of what "larger" should mean.

Funny, I was thinking the same thing. Regardless of whether Castro's tweet was right or wrong in an ethical sense, he never concealed his intention, which was to publicly shame the donors. You can argue he was in the wrong, but "bad faith" doesn't seem to fit.

Good faith, since Castro had no intent to deceive.

Awesome! Can Slate also revive the Scocca blog, or will political editoring take up too much time?
