I've been craving a reverse-stress sans for a while now, so the latest drop from 's Font of the Month Club was like Christmas morning. I mean just look how weird and gorgeous this is 😍😍

Over the weekend, I had the pleasure of sending MEGABASE to club! It’s a union of wood-type clunkiness and space-age funkiness, synthesizing elements from horizontal-stress designs from the 1800s and 1970s to arrive at something unexpected.

The best part about the first of every month? A new typeface from 's ! I think it would be fun if each font came with a design challenge to see how everyone else would use it. This month's font - Megabase!

Another delight for subscribers: provides you with “Megabase” (), sporting “strong horizontal stress inspired by the clunkiness of 19th-century gothics like Gothic Bold and the space-age funkiness of 1970’s designs”. (34)

Love how manages to even include forms reminiscent of Rio's Copacabana sidewalks in his new amazing release! Megabase has some crazy bouncy counterforms!
