The 2009 Vic fires flared on Feb 7. Army engineers were on the ground by the next evening. The Gov’t’s reaction was immediate and substantial, the ADF did amazing work

I don’t recall whether it was a “call-out” but the Government had Defence Reservists deployed almost immediately in response to the 2009 Vic bushfires

More than 1,000 farmers have now been ruthlessly cut off FHA. Scott Morrison says there may be a second exit payment but “may be” is the important part of his claim. Farmers just don’t know and can’t plan. They must fix this mess!
