Incredibly - almost half of my time in Switzerland has been in a pandemic. Somehow it feels both like a week & a decade!
Strangely, though I've been separated from *people* during that time, my interactions on online & in media have made me feel closer to the country. 
But I'll admit - it's bittersweet. Where will 1 Nov 2022 find me? It's a very real question to me - it's the day my residence permit expires. 
And yet, I feel like there's so much in Switzerland I've yet to do! 
Well - we'll find out together, in a year from now! 
Hope you are still here - we need voices like yours! Thank you for all that you do.

I had the season's-first raclette today at Herbstmesse. Swiss cheese is absolutely everything I dreamed and I love it all

Indeed ! But even in Switzerland the academic ecosystem is... complex.
