Lots of fun and play today for ! We worked on teamwork, problem solving, collaborating, social skills, communication, logic, creative play, and just building relationships. Being back with my students after my dad’s death, is helping to bring me some joy.

I loved having him as a 2nd grader. We always had the best conversations. He’s such a great kid and his family is wonderful. I’m so grateful for the relationships that I have with students and their families.

For 57 years they loved each other like it is was the first time they met. They spent every moment together. Their marriage was filled with love, joy, and laughter. We all miss my dad, and today will be the hardest for his bride.

My heart is deeply broken over my dad’s death. It is true that “denial and shock help us to cope and make survival possible. Denial helps us to pace our feelings of grief. There is a grace in denial.” I have just been trying to survive the past few days.

The conversations we had this week about each of their words, filled my heart to the fullest. They were so reflective. Thanks for the idea, . My 2nd graders liked reading all of the words that your students came up with.
